Story
Leonard Blavatnik left the Soviet Union, studied in New York, and built Access Industries as a holding company with a long appetite. Warner Music was the cultural jewel; energy and chemicals paid many of the bills.
Knighthood and the Blavatnik Awards made the philanthropy public. The career is diaspora capitalism at full scale.
