Story
Sir Henry Strakosch left Austria for the world of gold, paper, and advice to treasuries. He worked in South African mining finance and later in London as a counselor on monetary questions.
He also supported Winston Churchill in lean years. A banker of the old imperial circuit, he treated balance sheets as instruments of state.
