Adam Sandler

Adam Sandler (born Adam Richard Sandler; September 9, 1966) is an American actor, comedian, screenwriter, producer, and singer known for his work in comedy films and television, as well as occasional dramatic roles. Born in Brooklyn, New York, to a nursery school teacher mother and an electrical engineer father, Sandler was raised in Manchester, New Hampshire, as the youngest of four children in a Jewish-American family. He began performing stand-up comedy as a teenager and gained widespread recognition as a cast member and writer on Saturday Night Live from 1990 to 1995, where his characters and sketches helped launch his film career.
